Me too. (I'm not so sure this is the proper newsgroup for this, but there
seems to be some precedent...)
I start up rn using the -/ option (which I learned about in TFM, by the way),
so I have this miniature news spool directory structure arrayed beneath my
home directory. My question is:
Is there any way to direct rn to use this alternate directory tree instead of
the standard /usr/spool/news ? Not all the time; just when I want to review
the articles I've saved.
Barring that, is there some other utility designed for the purpose of browsing
old articles? (Yes, I know about grep :-)

Not yet. There is a bit of a design problem in deciding how to assign article
numbers to files that may have alpha names.

How about perl? :-) :-) :-)
