I have had a number of requests for the source to Pax, the portable archive utility which was described in comp.std.unix. I appologize to those awaiting the distribution via comp.sources.unix. I am afraid that I do not know when it will be posted. However, in the description posted to comp.std.unix, I mentioned that the source would be available for anonymous UUCP from my machine. So, here is the information which you will need if you wish to get a copy off jhereg: Phone number: +1 612 224 1805 Machine name: jhereg Login: nuuucp There is no password for nuucp. The source is in ~/PAX.tar.Z, (the full pathname is /usr/spool/uucppublic/pub/PAX.tar.Z) which is a compressed tar file. If you have any problems, please let me know. -- Mark H.
