I am very interested in getting some sort of B-tree index file
handling library to link with C programs under UNIX System V.
If anyone knows of good or at least functional options which are
in the public domain, I would appreciate some hints as to their
identities, and where they can be had.
I'd run out and buy C-ISAM, but I can't afford to at the moment. ;'(
(Note; if replying via email, use the bang path through uunet listed
on my .signature below, not the .uucp domain - my site somehow got
left out of the map distribution this month, so quad.uucp probably
won't work as advertised. Also, I don't have ftp, so it's servers,
friendly netters or nothing.)

I posted B+tree to sources.misc some time ago. The original is shareware, and the fixes I made to make it run under UNIX are free. I assume that it got posted, but I have been reading mail on a machine which doesn't always get sources, so it might not. Perhaps someone remembers seeing it go bye... bill davidsen (davidsen@crdos1.crd.GE.COM) {uunet | philabs}!crdgw1!crdos1!davidsen "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
