There is now a new version of Pax available, version 2.0. I would like to get some people to beta test it before I release it to the net again. I am looking for people with a wide variety of hardware/software who would be willing to use pax, pax-tar and pax-cpio on a regular basis, as well as to stress it a bit. If you are interested in becoming a beta tester, please send me email describing what hardware and software you have. I will set up a mailing list here that will allow the beta testers to discuss various problems and allow me to distribute patches. If you are only interested in a stable release of pax, I would suggest that you wait until the source is posted to the net rather than getting in on the beta test. -- Mark H.
