saqqara.cis.ohio-state.edu (a.k.a. osu-cis) ate his CPU data cache board for a midnight snack last night at ~2am or thereabouts. After much frantic and ponderous interpretation of the cryptic runes of COS Frame E and the stochastic hacking of board-swapping, the problem was finally diagnosed and corrected around 3pm. No mail or news was lost, but he's a solid 13 hours behind the flood of news and mail that goes through him, and the archives were inaccessible as well. Performance of the machine is still poor while he continues to be flogged by assorted network neighbors, but he should be caught up by late Wednesday or so. --Karl
