[comp.sources.d] windows on a terminal

yylu@brauer.harvard.edu (Ya Yan Lu) (10/19/89)

After years working in the X window, Sunview environment, it seems to me
that I just can not do anything without the convienence of multiple
windows. Sometimes, however, one has to use an old vt100 terminal. So I am
wondering if there is any Unix program that allows me to open windows like
I can do in emacs (open many buffers or a shell), with unlimited number of
shells and normal terminal type (in emacs's shell, TERM=emacs, lot of
things become impossible in this shell). Can someone please give me point
on this?
