[comp.sources.d] Texi2roff 2.0 available for ftp

erlebach@cs.toronto.edu (Beverly Erlebacher) (01/17/90)

I've completed release 2.0 of texi2roff, the Texinfo to troff
translator for GNU documents.

Compared to release 1.0a which was posted to comp.sources.unix in
November 1988, release 2.0 has the following features:

+ several dozen additional commands are supported, including the ones
   in the new elisp manual.
+ tables of contents are generated.
+ index entries are emitted and a script to generate indices is provided.
+ file inclusion is supported (@include command)
+ appendices are "numbered" with letters.
+ a font stack solves most nested font change problems
+ bug fixes, some prettier formatting, and somewhat tighter code.

Texi2roff release 2.0 is available for anonymous ftp as:

 -rw-r--r-- 1 erlebach 27182 Jan 17 00:02 pub/texi2roff.shar.Z

on neat.cs.toronto.edu [128.100.1.65]. It will shortly be available
for ftp on prep.ai.mit.edu. It will also appear in comp.sources.unix.
