richb@sunaus.oz (Rich Burridge) (03/27/90)
I get quite a few requests from people for me to send them copies of various programs I have written and posted to the net, and patches to those programs. I have now setup an automated mail archive server to handle this. Included below is the index file from the top level. *NOTE* The email address for the archive server is: rb-archive-server@Aus.Sun.COM This address should be used (as opposed to rb-archive-server@sunaus.sun.oz.au) because munnari, the ACSnet gateway for Australia imposes a 25Kbyte limit on all outgoing mail. If you are using this service inside of Australia, then the sunaus address is the prefered one. I've given this archive server minimal testing, so there may be teething problems. Please let me know if this is the case. Rich Burridge (richb@Aus.Sun.COM) ------CUT HERE------Index------CUT HERE------ Top level index of the Rich Burridge mail archive server. The email address of the archive server is rb-archive-server@Aus.Sun.COM This is a mail archive server for various programs I've either written, modified or collaborated on. Currently the server includes the following programs: abcd - an automatic backup copy daemon calctool - a simple calculator for various graphics and dumb terminals. mp - a PostScript pretty printer for mail, news and text files. popi - a program for manipulating digital images. Other programs will be available from this server as new versions are completed. The entries above are actually sub-directories. The contents of these sub-directories can be examined by sending a message like "send mp intro" to the Server. Unless you know what you're doing, this index file should always be retrieved first. It contains a description of what the program does, and a manifest of what is in that sub-directory. Each directory contains the source for this program bundled up into one or multiple shar files called Part1, Part2 .... Partn. If you need the full source for this program then you should get all parts; if you just need one or two files, then you will need to get the index for that sub-directory, to determine which shar file(s) you need. Most of the programs have been posted to the net at some time or another. After that posting, patches are made to fix various problems. These patches are also included in the sub-directory as Patch1, Patch2 .... Patchn. Each individual file within one of these sub-directories can be retrieved with a message like "send calctool patch5". If you have any problems with this server, please send mail to: rb-archive-management@Aus.Sun.COM
