I have recently volunteered to accept source requests by email for Jstevie [not Stevie] from within the US [probably Canada also] for Junn Ohta. Just in case you don't know, Jstevie is a vi-based editor that supports most vi and ex commands, Japanese kanji input, tag stack, and other goodies. It runs on unix and msdos, and should be `easy' to port to other systems. If you need any or all of the Jstevie1.2 source, drop me your email address and I'll do my best to get it to you. I can be reached at Internet: bao@cs.umd.edu UUCP: ...!uunet!mimsy!bao If you are from a Bitnet site, you can try 'bao%cs.umd.edu@INTERBIT'. If that doesn't work, please consult with your sysadm. Note that the Jstevie I currently have is version 1.2, taken directly from `utsun.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp'. According to Junn, it does not contain any of the patches/fixes that have been made since then. However, if I get any updates from Junn or others, I will be happy to make those available. - Bao - -- Michael Trinh @ Univ. of Maryland / bao@brillig.umd.edu / uunet!mimsy!bao "Now and then an innocent staffer is assigned dump duty."

# In article <23668@mimsy.umd.edu> I wrote: # # I have recently volunteered to accept source requests by email for Jstevie # [not Stevie] from within the US [probably Canada also] for Junn Ohta. I neglected to mention a couple of [important] things in that article: 1) If you have ftp capability, you can get the source and/or executable from `utsun.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp' [133.11.7.250]. Look in /fj/jstevie1.2 for the files `jstevie1.2.tar.Z' [source] and `msdos-binary' [executable]. Getting jstevie this way is probably faster than waiting for me to send you the 8 or 10 shar files 8-). 2) I also have the jstevie executable [msdos-binary] so please let me know if you need just the source or the executable or both when sending me mail. Once again, I can be reached at # Internet: bao@cs.umd.edu UUCP: ...!uunet!mimsy!bao # # If you are from a Bitnet site, you can try 'bao%cs.umd.edu@INTERBIT'. If # that doesn't work, please consult with your sysadm. Apologies to those who send me mail only to find out that they can get the source [much] faster by ftp'ing. - Bao - -- Michael Trinh @ Univ. of Maryland / bao@brillig.umd.edu / uunet!mimsy!bao "Now and then an innocent staffer is assigned dump duty."
