To add to my already busy telephone line, I am now setting up anonymous uucp access to a small set of archives. These archives hold the recent contents of comp.sources.unix, comp.mail.maps, and comp.sources.misc. Loud demands for other groups may be considered. The archives are accessed as directories and files under /news/Archives at site wolves. Telephone: 1 919 493 7111 login: uanon (no password) The modem is a Case 4696/VS supporting dial-in at 2400,1200 and 300 bps. MNP 5 is available at 2400 and 1200. The modem has a 9600 bps capability, but its not Telebit compatible and I haven't had any other modems nearby to test and debug 9600 speed. The autobaud cycle is 2400-1200-300-9600-2400. A daily summary of the contents is available in the file /news/Archives/toc. This lists the 512-byte block count and the number of bytes and the name of the files in the archive tree. Commentary and or request should be mailed to me. I realize that I don't have a valid domain name yet, somebody send me the darn .us info blurb again. Otherwise try the hack ggw%wolves@cs.duke.edu.
