[comp.sources.d] osu-cis' archives will survive after all

karl_kleinpaste@cis.ohio-state.edu (07/19/90)

OK, I lied.

The archives on osu-cis will not be trimmed back. They will
definitely be shuffled substantially, though it won't be visible from
UUCP if I do the job right.

We unexpectedly acquired (on our own) an extra pair of discs. They
have been installed on two of the systems from which "osu-cis" makes
things available via NFS mounts and symlinks. They're already
providing a lot of badly needed swap space and will shortly contain
filesystems into which archived materials will go.

Those in the habit of ftp'ing from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu, expect to
find things there dwindling; look on Cheops and Saqqara in the near
future for such stuff. Things GNUish will remain on Tut, most other
things will probably migrate.

Again, the view of things via UUCP on "osu-cis" should be unchanged.
