[comp.sources.d] problem with trn part 9

sking@nowhere.uucp (Steven King) (12/04/90)

Part 9 of the posting of trn appears to be incomplete. Extraction doesnt
update s2_seq_.tmp and even if you hack that, various files such as
newsetup.SH ( which Configure seems to expect ) doesnt exist. Is it f*cked up
 or am I ?

To answer "Steven King", he's the one that is "f*cked up"! (no smile
here) What does he want -- everything to be perfect, even though it is
free!

Yes, I too have received only, apparently, only half of Part09...

Would Rich Salz or Wayne Davison please check that out and, if neces-
ary, kindly repost Part09 for us. THANKS.

Uhhh .. there was. Part 10 was reposted too because of changes in the
new Part 9 (cuz of the partial shars).

The repost of part 10 never got here, although the repost of part 9
arrived. But all seemed okay when I unpacked the shars. However when I
applied the patch, I got four reject files: mt.check.SH had a patch to a
non-existent comment, and mthreads.1, mthreads.c, mthreads.h did not
exist! Furthermore comparison against the MANIFEST shows even more files
missing: mthreads.1, mthreads.c, mthreads.h, ndir.c, and ndir.h.

And then when I tried to compile the *&*^% thing anyway, I got a compile
error in compiling art.c, namely there's an extern declaration of
an element in a structure in threads.h.

Can someone please help me out? What the *&^ is wrong?

Maybe someone who has all of trn can contact me to set up uucp
so I can pick up the sources? (Don't have ftp access here.)

HELP!
