[comp.sources.d] Source for multi-volume zoo?

xiaohe@nntp-server.caltech.edu (Xiao-He Zhang) (12/24/90)

Merry Christmas!

From comp.binaries.ibm.pc, I found "zoox", a multi-volume zoo archiver. I'd
like to have the same utility avaliable on Unix machines. I've checked the
archive site uunet.uu.net but was not able to find the source for zoox. Does
anyone know if its source is available anywhere? Thank you very much!

Zoox is the MS-DOS, multi-volume version of zoo, Rahul Dhesi's portable
archiver. I doubt that the multi-volume features have been ported to
Unix. :-) What you want are the zoo sources, v2.01; these can be compiled
for Unix, MS-DOS, or a number of other machines. On MS-DOS zoo and zoox
give you the same thing except that zoo expects the entire archive to be
on a single volume.

A new version of zoo is rumored to be on its way out, FWIW...
