Sorry to waste bandwith, but I can't seem to figure this out on my own. I have downloaded some files from Simtel20, on to my Vax here at work, and then downloaded them to my PC at home using TELIX, with Kermit protocol. The problem is that when I either unzip or unarc them I get the "files corrupted message. It happens on every file I have downloaded. When I ftp to Simtel20, I set file type to binary, and do the same thing on my PC. The kermit versions I have worked with are 3.3.11 on VMS and 3.01 on the PC. Can any of you netters help? If there is a FAQ list on this can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks Billv (Third Shift Killer) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-SIG UNDER CONSTRUCTION PLEASE USE OTHER SIDEWALK -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Shame, shame, shame.
Read the SIMTEL20 new user info.
Set the file type to 'tenex' and all will be well with binary files.
