This is sort of a do you have or has anybody done it type of article.
It was pointed out to me this evening that the system interface for f77
under 4.1bsd is sorely lacking. So much so, that the poor f77 user is
coerced into learning C in order to get at system services. The question is,
has anybody completed the libU (libU77 to some) routines for the rest of
chapter 2 and 3? With all the scientifically oriented UNIX sites out there
surely someone has done this....
Is this coming with 4.2bsd (naive boy that i am...)?
I have to admit I appreciate the attitude of a lot of fortranners who just
want to get on with their work and not learn new language structures...
