[] I'm planning to add a hard disk to the ST, and I'll get the BMS DMA--> SCSI card along with an Adaptek controller. I have been considering getting either a 30 Mb Control Data (CDC) hard disk, or a Seagate 225N 20Mb drive (both are ST506 compatible).. The Seagate has automatic head park on powerdown, but the CDC drive is 30 Mb.. I'd appreciate any comments you could make on which of these would be a better choice, for any reason at all. Are CDC drives reliable? Is the Seagate better enough to swallow the size difference? All coments will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -ravi

The CDC Wren series (is that what you're considering?) can withstand 40 G's of force when turned off, and 8 G's while running. They're extremely rugged and reliable.
