[comp.sys.misc] Any Tandy Users Out There??

7GMADISO%POMONA.BITNET@wiscvm.wisc.edu (02/27/87)

I was just wondering if I'm the only Tandy user out here in NetLand.
I have, use and ADORE a Tandy Model 4P, which (currently) has 128k
and 2 DSDD 5.25" floppies; I hope to be upgrading to at least 512k
and 6MHz clock fairly soon; the 640x240 hires graphics board is under
consideration too.

I would appreciate hearing from other Tandy users; perhaps we can
exchange some hints/tips and PD software.

Here's one. I run a Model 4 with 2 DSDD 5.25" drives (390k each), 2 8" DSDD
drives (1.25 meg each), 5.77 mh clock...hom, hoom, what else...Holmes disk
controller, CP/M (Monte, of course), 128k. No hi-res graphics as I have
seen absolutely zilcho in software for it, and I'm not interested at this
point in writing my own. Do you mean you're upgrading to 512k
direct-address memory (but then 8 bits can't address that much memory) or do
you mean a 512k ramdisk?

Anyone can make a computer dance with a meg of internal memory
Real programmers do it in 8 bits
