Hi there, I am very interested in music especially classical music. I will get a new job soon, and I am interested in buying a personal computer. My primary interest in the personal computer is writing music and play them on my stereo equipment. It has to generate high quality stereo sound and has user friendly software that I can write music with. It has to be able to emulate various types of instrument. I also like to have a Fourie analyzer in it. Well, in short, the more options there are the better. Note I am not interested in doing anything else on that computer since I will have access to a HUGE VAX cluster in my new job. The only thing I am interested is music. I heard that Amiga and atari are pretty good music sythesizers, but I don't not know what kind of things I can do with it. Would some one send me some suggestions as to which machine I should buy along with what software? Also if you can give me a brief description of what that machine/software can/cannot do, that will be great. Please send me e-mail at xia%uicsrd@a.cs.uiuc.edu . Thanks in advance. Eugene
