[comp.sys.misc] Xerox 820 CPU board

teg@thelink.UUCP (Kerr Avon) (02/18/88)

Bought a Xerox 820 module in a clearance sale in 1983. Has a Z-80, 64K
RAM (4116s), about 4K of some ROMed stuff, RS232 serial, centronix
parallel, disk controller for 5.25" and 8" floppies, keybored connector
(apparently parallel ASCII), and 80x24 video. Was removed from working
equipment which listed for $2995 (arrrggghh!) when it was introduced in
'83, and drinks +/-5 and +/-12. 2 crystals have broken off, but I have
a full set of schematics which I will include. These were all the rage
down at Purdue...they were being made into terminals, word processors,
and cheap workstations, but I just never bothered to do anything with
it, and now it sits collecting dust (5 years worth). Makes a good
tinkering project.
$70...slightly negotiable and postpaid anywhere on this side of the
galaxy.
