[comp.sys.misc] CALL FOR VOTES: Are RLL details too technical?

pete@octopus.UUCP (Pete Holzmann) (05/14/88)

I'm trying to figure out the level of technical content appropriate for
this group. Some people seem to be asking very basic questions, others
are asking highly detailed questions. I'm trying to figure out, in general,
whether very detailed answers are appropriate on questions of interest to the
group. (If so, this would probably imply that 'basic' questions are from
technically literate people who happen to be just starting in some area of
PC's.)

Here we go! A short survey; please mail responses to octopus!vote.
All answers should be yes/no. Comments may be read by me, but complicated
vote answers will not be tallied.

If you have been following the RLL discussion, and have not yet read my
article called 'RLL Technical Details', please read that article before
voting.

1. Have you been following the RLL discussion?
2. Have the answers been too technical for your level of understanding?
3. Have the answers gone into more detail than your level of interest?

That's it! Thanks.

Pete
