[comp.sys.misc] About TI Professional Computers

GA.WJH@ISUMVS.BITNET ("Wayne J. Hauber") (05/26/88)

Is anyone aware of a communication program for the Texas Instrument
Professional computer that has a reliable VT100 emulation? I am aware of a
Kermit that is a couple years old but which has a poor emulation.

The TI Pro is a MS-DOS micro that is not fully IBM compatible and does not
work with the usual MS-DOS communication programs. My university has a number
of TI Pros. We were wondering if there were alternatives to an aging locally
written communication program.

Please send responses to me directly rather than posting them.

There was, as of about 18 months ago, a third-party software catalog
available from TI for the old TI Professional. It may still be available.
Try TI headquarters in Carrolton TX; don't bother with the local office.

I'd mail this, but have trouble getting to BITNET.
