I am retiring my old Radio Shack Model II system and moving onto a new MS-DOS type of machine. I would like to continue using my old Radio Shack printer, however. Many programs are able to print graphics as well as text if they recognize the printer type. My question, oh ye wizards of the net, is who manufactured my printer, a DMP-200? What identifying character string will MS-DOS programs (like Lotus 123) recognize that will allow them to properly print graphics on this printer? Right now I have it hooked up to a printer port as a generic text-only printer and, aside from not knowing what to do with tabs and backspaces, it is adequate for this role. Of course, having text printing capabilities now, I obviously lust after GRAPHICS printing as well. Any suggestions that are not too vulger will be happily received!
