Here at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), we have recently purchased VxWorks, an integrated realtime deelopment system. The kernel is VRTX32 from Ready, but VxWorks is from Wind River Systems. Our problem is that Ready has terminated their VAR agreement with Wind River. This means that we can: 1> Do nothing. 2> Switch from VxWorks to an all VRTX/Ready solution. 3> Move to Wind River's new native kernal. So we are asking anyone who might have been or is now in the same situation to share any comments or advise. Have anyone used the new kernel? Will Wind River offer any assistance in moving from the VRTX kernel to the new kernel, either in terms of software or $$$? How satisfied are users of both VxWorks and Ready's new Sun based development tools? Thanks, Richard Neitzel NCAR Box 3000 Boulder, CO 80307-3000 303-497-2057 or -2052
