[comp.sys.misc] 68000/S-100 stuff for sale

Mike.Blackwell@ROVER.RI.CMU.EDU (12/16/88)

I have most of the hardware for a 68000 based S-100 bus system, which I
would like to sell. It was bought for a project several years ago, which
never got off the ground. None of the hardware has been used, and I'm fairly
sure it all works, but I can not offer any guarantees. This would be a good
system for a micro hacker to play with, or someone who wants to learn
about microcomputers from the ground up. The S-100 bus isn't as popular
these days, but there's a lot of stuff out there for it.

The system consists of:

CompuPro CPU-68K: 16-bit IEEE 696/S-100 microprocessor board, with 8MHz
68000, provisions for 68451 MMU (not included), two sockets for EPROMs
(2716, 2732 or 2764). Power-on reset, auto-vector interrupts, complete bus
interface.

Note: no ROMs are included - you will have to buy boot or monitor ROMs, or
roll your own. CompuPro sells a set that works with their disk/IO card,
which boots CPM/68K (which they also sell).

Sierra Data Systems ZSIO: 4 port RS-232 serial I/O and real time clock
board. Uses Zilog SIO/2 and CTC support chips. Can be interrupt driven.

Lexicomp Data Systems SR-64K: 64K byte RAM board, operates in 16-bit mode.
Uses 100-ns 2016 CMOS static RAMs. Small by today's standards, but it's a
start...

Integrand 800 series mainframe: 15-slot S-100 backplane and cage, 8VDC@15A,
+/-16VDC@3A, power and reset switch on front, fan, 2 switched AC outlets,
cut-outs on back panel for 8 DB25 connectors, 2 Centronics style connectors,
and 2 BNCs. Top comes off for complete access. Off-white with black front
panel. This is a nice looking unit.

Compupro no. 106 active terminator for S-100 bus.

Vector S-100 extender board.

3 S-100 prototyping cards

and a Vector 11-slot S-100 backplane.

I have all of the manuals, and the original sales receipts. I was thinking
that $500 (plus any shipping) would be a good price for the whole deal. I'd
prefer to sell it all as a package, but if you just want a piece, make an
offer.
