The up-arrow/down-arrow keys were an enhancement added after the
17B and 27S were released.

Have fun with these features, but don't expect any support from
HP--they are in there to help HP identify problems.  As for
"synthetic programming" on the HP-42S, don't get your hopes up.
There are a lot more internal checks for bogus parameters on the
HP-42S than on the HP-41C.  This will preclude such great ideas
as SF 103, RCL 117, etc.
