Help! I have a Novas 286 super turbo system motherboard with 4 serial ports and can not currently use port 3 or 4. Norton SI and PC tools report that the system only has two serial ports. Calling the company from which I purchased motherboard was no help. The only thing that they knew about serial ports, was how much to charge for them. In fact, they ask me to send them any information that I could find on the serial ports. Anyway, if anyone has any information on using the serial ports on this motherboard, I would appreciate getting it. I am using "bitcom" communication software, which allows the users to pick COM1, COM2, COM3 or COM4. Since I have a mouse on serial port1 and scanner on serial port2, being able to use a modem on a different port would be very convenient. Please mail the information, comments or question to either of my email addresses. jelynch@hubcap.clemson.edu or jelynch@prism.clemson.edu I hope that someday I can use the serial ports that I paid for !!!!.
