Hello, Has anybody out there had any experience in using the VMACS-filetransfer program between VAX-workstations and MACINTOSH-machines? I am told that the following features are valid: 1: One can store MACINTOSH files and applications on a VAX or VAX-Workstation, and retrieve them from a MACINTOSH with standard terminal-emulators. 2: Unlike KERMIT, VMACS remebers the full MACINTOSH-format of a file ,such as information of resources, icons, fonts etc. 3: It is in principle possible - however nontrivial - to establish a connection between a, say a MACINTOSH application such as PAGEMAKER or QUARK-XPRESS that supposedly produces a postscriptfile, and POSTSCRIPT-laserprinter in a VMS-cluster. Please refute these statements or correct them. Any further hints on the use of VMACS or communication-problems between MACINTOSH and the VMS-world in general, are most welcome. I'm new at this game..... =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ S.
