Recently I bought a used Morrow MD-70 in surplus. When I turned it on,
I was delighted to see it worked. I then tried to use it, and got a _very_
rude awakening. Control-H was cursor home, not backspace.
I had seen this once before, on a Data General terminal.
I opened the case up, and staring me in the face was a 2732 with a label on
it saying "D211 1.0". The D211 is one of DG's terminal model numbers.
As far as I'm concerned, this makes my terminal worthless. I do not intend
to rewrite the OS driver to do lookup-and-translate for control codes, and
other functions. And my ADDS is in it's death throes. And my ADM-42 is dead.
I need either the hex file or a chip, or a chip I can have copied. A manual
or at least a cheat sheet for the functions would also be appreciated.
This beast looks exactly like a Z-49 terminal - but exchanging keyboards
results in a non-working device.
If after I get the beast mind-swapped somebody wants the D211 PROM, it's yours.
I've been told Morrow Computers is belly-up. By chance is the terminal
operation still alive? I'm willing to buy the chip and the book if the price
isn't outrageous.
Real pointers (as opposed to integer?) are as welcome as actual data.
