We are getting an AS/400 and hope to access it with IBm PCs and PS2s conencted through a switching system so that they appear to be ASCII terminals to the AS/400 ( IBM terminology is 3101s). We would like to be able to use PC Support, a software package which runs partially on the AS/400 and partially on the micro to provide a uniform directory structure and support for such products as IBM's Menu Based Natural Language Query frontend to SQL. Is such an arrangement possible? If we cannot use PC Support in this situation, can we still use the Menu Based stuff? Thank you!
