[comp.sys.misc] Sage IV information sought

raymond@cs.strath.ac.uk (Raymond A Wiker) (10/18/89)

I have recently got hold of a `vintage' computer, a 1984 Sage IV, with
1MByte of RAM, 12MByte of harddisk and 6 serial ports.
However I did not get any documentation or software for it (apart from what's
on the hard disk - all 12 MB of it...)

It boots into a multi-user OS called Mirage. This has an on-line help
facility which has been quite handy, but it seems that some of the files
{help, program} are missing. I would therefore like to know where I can
find out more about Mirage (probably from the originator), or any other
OS for the Sage. Some pointers to a source of technical information would
also be most appreciated. In particular, does anyone know anything about the
fate of the manufacturers (Sage Computer, later Stride Micro of Reno, Nevada).

Sage used to be represented in the UK by TDI Ltd, Bristol. Does anyone
know what happened to them? I have tried their old phone number, to no avail.
If they are still in business then they may be able to help me.

     Thanks in advance,
          Raymond
