Is this not a somewhat bizzarre result, since so far as I know Microsoft
has no products at all for the Amiga?

On the face of it perhaps, but 30 seconds investigation shows it to be
not bizarre in any way.

These Amiga postings are single 62Kb postings of the "introduction to
this newsgroup" type by a single individual at Microsoft.

Well, not quite - the (appalling) Basic interpreter that comes with the
machine was written by Microsoft under contract.
