I have an Intergraph Interpro 120, and it runs a screen manager called smgr, with its own windows, etc... Does anybody have any kind of software that can display GIF or other type images, in a window or the background, using this native screen manager? Any info would be appreciated... Sergio, I too would be interested in this info. Of course, the alternative is to use X Windows (which is supplied gratis as part of the optional baseline software). Unfortunately, most of the IP120's have an 80mb drive in them, so it's possible you won't have enough room to load the product. I would be very surprised though if you can't find a public domain GIF viewer that is written for SysV and X. Let me know what you find.... Well there is one obvious solution to this problem, part of your standard delivery of software is X11 R4, if you load this and run the Xserver you use one of several image viewing programs delivered in the XCONTRIB product that you also get for free. If you don't want to run X then I do have a hacked around version of XGIF which will display a gif image using an Environ V (native screen manager) window. A good point to raise here though is the lack of bitplanes on a 120 (5) which very much limits the gif images that you can display. Please send me mail if you want the source for an Environ V viewer, it is rather flakey and I don't plan on debugging it soon !! -- |--------------------------------------------------| | Nik Simpson UUCP :uunet!ingr!swindon!st_nik!nik| | Senior Systems Engineer.
