Relay-Version:version B 2.10 5/3/83; site harpo.UUCP Message-ID:<155@micomz.UUCP> Date:Thu, 26-May-83 22:47:47 EDT Hewlett-Packard has chosen UNIX as the main operating system for ALL its product line. Implementation will start on the new 9000 series, but versions are planned for all HP computers. The following is from Electronics, November 30, 1982, pp 49: " HP.. has not only chosen it [UNIX] for its new model 9000 supermini, but ... says it will apply UNIX accross its entire line - from personal computers to its bread-and-butter instrumentation and business machines." I would assume that this applies to all machines that HP is planning to continue to market in the future, including the 1000 and 3000 series. Richard Blouin. !philabs!micomvax!micomz!softech
