Thought problem: A Sparc-2, a 486 DOS box, and a Mac II live together.
The Mac and the Sparc know ethernet, and the PC knows AppleTalk. All
three know SCSI.
What I want:
A tape drive of capacity at least 1GB that I can hook up to one of
the three, and backup all three on the same tape.
What I'd settle for:
A SCSI drive that could be moved from machine to machine, with
appropriate software for all three.
I'd prefer DAT over 8mm, because as I understand it, the DATs are
indexed and access the middle of the tape a lot faster.
Guidance is requested, thanks in advance.
