Hi Apologies in advance if this is not in the right place... Can anyone enlighten me as to the current and future stance of Intergraph re "Open Systems" both wrt comms (OSI) and Windowing (X-Window System?, OSF/MOTIF? , Open Look? etc.) Are there any plans to modify cartographic and GIS products to produce as output and accept as input modern standard formats ? I would be particularly interested to hear of any planned developments which would aid in integrating Intergraph based products with others running in a VAX/VMS environment over Ethernet. Will FDDI be supported? Please E_mail any reply since I will not be in a position to access this board for a while, any posted messages would almost certainly time out before I got the chance to read them.
