Netlanders, I seem to have goofed (as I have been told over 15 times already). I do hereby apologize to National Semi. for the confusion that I may have caused. I must admit to miss-reading an article in Byte some time ago that must have been saying something else. Now, on to new stuff (now that I have generated some interest :-)... The gentlemen from National that came around were trying to get our local chapters of ACM & IEEE to sponsor their "user group" here on campus. Through this group would be funneled all of the technical support for the ICM 3216, as well as all of the feedback to National. My question is (and was at the time) does the group have to buy one of these machines to claim itself as a "users group"? At the time, I (ACM) was told that we would have to buy a machine. I then attended an IEEE meeting (held the same day) to get them interested. At that meeting, I was told that the group did NOT have to buy a machine. Could someone at National please clear this up for me? Also, could anyone tell me where to write to ask for a "new" demonstration of this board. I was VERY interested (at the time), and still am, in using a set of these machines on an EtherNet. When I asked, I was told that an EtherNet board was in the works, along with a 8 channel RS-232 board, a 1024x1024 graphics board, and something else...I forget what. Any comments should be directed to the net, NOT MY ALREADY ROASTED MAIL BOX!!!!!!!! Please folks, I realize my mistake. Quit the flaming already... Contritely, Roland J.
