I noticed some recent discussion about the expense of cxp (et al) type operations. I assume that those who are not using such mechanisms are either only using assembler (yuk) or are using compiler technology that is different to those distributed by NSC in the form of GENIX and system V.X type systems. I would like to hear about the compilers that these people are using. It seems that people have gone back to the 'standard' unix style and away from COFF? Am I correct? - thats how it seems. -- Michael Homsey (michael@mqcomp.mqcs.mq.oz) Comp. Discipline Macquarie Uni. 2109 NSW
