I haven't got round to putting the 1.2 diffs in yet but I think our kernel incorporates most of the fixes already plus a number that are not in 1.2, eg interrupts work properly and we have process groups etc. We have also got MicroEMACS and GNUEmacs running, but this involved no work since we are not limited to 64K processes. We are using the AT&T System V Release 2 C compiler from a VAX. We have to download the binaries over a serial line. We do not have a public domain C compiler to run under MINIX to generate ns32000 code, but we may register the CPUs we have to run SysV then we could use the SysV compiler on them seems a bit pervy though :-). Obviously the SysV compiler includes compiler, assembler and linker. John Vaudin arthur@uk.ac.warwick.flame Computer Science ..ukc!warwick!flame!arthur University of Warwick Coventry CV4 7AL UK
