I now have the ICM-3216 V.2 signetics driver working. If there are others
using this product, and want the improved driver, please send me mail.

The modifications will allow 9600-19.2K bps input, with no loss of data,
on three channels (at least - I use the fourth as the console).

We at the Portland Development Center are interested in seeing all
bugs in the tty drivers fixed. A listing of the bugs found and
a copy of the "improved" driver would be helpful.

We cannot fix bugs that no one tells us about. You should also tell us
which release of the O/S you are using. We have already fixed several
tty driver bugs in later releases of the O/S and would like to know if
you have found new bugs.

Thanks,

JR

After talking with Dave via normal email, I discovered that he
is running with down revision software. These bugs were fixed
in last summer's maintenance release. The maintenance release
also fixed numerous other problems and is well worth the $100.00
upgrade cost. The upgrade also comes with new PROMs which are
also vastly improved.

To order the latest revsion (H), of the SVR2 software, please
contact Jim Hervey at (408) 562-4713.

I would like to thank Dave publicaly for his concern and for his
willingness to share his hard work.
