[comp.sys.nsc.32k] Moto comparison analogy

dtynan@sultra.UUCP (Der Tynan) (10/25/88)

OK, I see my posting elicited the appropriate response. Keep it coming.
In the meantime, I'd like to get a general figure for 32K benchmarks (there!
I said it!). I know George Grenley is working on trying to get some real
figures (ala comp.arch), but in the meantime has anyone run the PD program
'dhrys' yet? I'm mainly interested in fairly vanilla systems (Encore 320's
do not count!), ie, one CPU, average speed memory (120->150ns), possible
cache. You get the idea. Nothing official. I'd just like to see just
what the comparison is like. How about the infamous VAXMIPS?? Any comments?
