[comp.sys.nsc.32k] 32K Chip Set Information Query

ward@cfa.harvard.EDU (Steve Ward) (11/23/88)

The various 32K family parts National is actually making and selling as of
September 12, 1988 seems to be a subset of what recent advertising literature
from National has advertised.

I have gotten this information from a National parts and pricing book that
is dated September 12, 1988. It may be that some of the advertised 32k
parts are not yet to market, but will be made, or that the status has
changed since September 12th. However, the '132 comes to mind, and I would
like to find out what is really going to make it to market.

THE ABSENCE OF A PART IN MY LIST BELOW IMPLIES NOTHING OTHER THAN MY
PRESENT UNCONCERN WITH THAT PART.

After all, there are enough questions raised about what I list without
talking about what I leave out :-)

What I can actually order from my distributor today:

CPU NS32016-10 10 MHZ What happened to 15 MHZ version?
CPU NS32C016-10 10 MHZ What happened to 15 MHZ version?

FPU NS32081-10 10 MHZ What happened to CMOS version?
FPU NS32081-15 15 MHZ What happened to CMOS version?

MMU NS32082-10 10 MHZ What happened to 15 MHZ version?
Have not seen it advertised, but will
there be a CMOS version of MMU?

TCU There are both 10 and
       15 MHZ NMOS and CMOS
       parts available, all
       okay here.

ICU NS32202-10 10 MHZ What happened to 15 MHZ version?
Have not seen it advertised, but will
there be a CMOS version of ICU?

DMA NS32203-10 10 MHZ What happened to 15 MHZ version?
Have not seen it advertised, but will
there be a CMOS version of DMA?

15 MHZ parts for all the above have been advertised, as well as the CMOS
version of the FPU. What's up? As you can see, I can't order many of
the parts in 15 MHZ versions nor can I order a CMOS FPU. Also, will the
DMA, ICU, and MMU come out in CMOS versions?
