I have a need to simulate an NS32532 based multi-processor computer in software (the hardware doesn't exist yet) for operating systems development. Before starting from scratch I thought I'd ask if anybody knows of a free or cheap (we are an educational institution) simulator for the 32532 already written. We would need source code. A simulator for another 32000 series processor would do as a substitute. The simulator would be run on another UNIX based 32532 computer, so it is OK if the simulator is partially written in 32K assembler code (!) Au contraire, we have it and it works like a charm (170mips) and you can have your choices of Un*x flavors - 4.2, V, or Mach, as well as Pick. Sorry we can't help with a simulator, though. -lar -- kaufman@Encore.com -- -- -- -- -- -- Lar Kaufman <= my opinions -- "we parted each feeling / superior to the other / and is not that / feeling after all one of the great / desiderata of social intercourse" - don marquis, _archy_and_mehitabel_
