[comp.sys.nsc.32k] asm32

kevin@latcs1.oz (Kevin James Bertram) (10/18/89)

Has anyone heard of what has happened to DATALINK SYSTEM
over there in America. Since I'm here in oz I don't see what's happening
much there. They seem to have forgetten that I ordered a 32K cross-
assembler from them with money. It was apparantly writen in Turbo-C
and the sources plus the executable were part of the same deal. This
costed $US40.00 ($oz75.00 for me). And ran under MS-dos. The artical on
it had been posted in this news group about June.

I know it got there because I received an E-mail from them telling
me so. And that was about 3 Months ago.

An E-mail from Bryan (a representative I would assume) follows
detailing their products.

the following products are being worked on, just to give you a little more
information (all of the cross development software is written in Turbo-C for
the IBM-PC etc):

description status cost
================================	=================	========
32000 cross assembler shipping $40 (US)
relocating COFF cross linker under development	*
cross symbolic debugger beta testing ?
NS32CG16 15MHz development board	beta testing ?

the goal of this project is to provide an extremely inexpensive 32000
development system to hobbyists etc. we are also working on a 32532 board,
but it is several months from completion.

(*) the cross linker will be included with the assembler when it is completed.
it will be made available at no cost to people who have already received
    the assembler.

these products are made available at cost in order to further 32000 software
and hardware development. there are no warranties of any kind. we, of
course, are very interested in providing the best product possible; we will
do our best to fix any reported problems.

international shipping charges are extra. we have never shipped anything to
austrailia so i am not sure exactly how much it would cost. i will find out
and let you know sometime next week.

the address of the company is:

		data-link systems
311 south allen street, suite 302
		state college, pa 16801
		u.s.a.

if you need any further information please let me know. thanks.

Please note that it is not a habbit of mine to put people on the
spot in case something honest had happened but I think 3 to 4 months waiting
is proof enough that I won't see the cross assembler. I have tried to
E-mail bryan several times with no success. The address was correct because
I E-mailed him to get this E-mail above.

Thanks for any info you might have concerning this case.
