... find someone to blame it on! IMHO the lack of wide acceptance of the 32k cannot be blamed on any one factor. I tried for years to get my former company to use it in a number of embedded controller designs, to no avail. There were some truly hardcore Motorola fanatics there, that wouldn't even consider using a CPU that didn't store the bytes backwards (even if it cost 1/4 as much). (Of course we wouldn't have been able to warm our coffee in the morning, if we had used the 32C016 8-). Anyway that's ancient history and there's no use crying over spilt bits. I think it would be great if the 32764 is resurrected. -scott
