Thanks to Dave Taylor's good graces, I have place Jyrki Kuoppala's (great) set of GNU tools and related goodies on Think.com (131.239.2.1) for anonymous ftp. They are located in /pc532/jkp: ftp> cd pc532/jkp 250 CWD command successful. ftp> dir 200 PORT command successful. 150 ASCII data connection for /bin/ls (134.87.134.50,1782) (0 bytes). total 4954 -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 27535 Feb 13 21:32 LIST -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 2094 Feb 13 21:32 README -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 346447 Feb 13 20:55 diff8Feb91.t.Z -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 20784 Feb 13 20:56 doc-8Feb91.t.Z -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 47208 Feb 13 20:56 etc-8Feb91.t.Z -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 3433707 Feb 13 21:24 gnu-8Feb91.t.Z -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 981449 Feb 13 21:33 locl8Feb91.t.Z -rw-rw-rw- 1 guest staff 157882 Feb 13 21:32 man-8Feb91.t.Z 226 ASCII Transfer complete. 554 bytes received in 2.14 seconds (0.252 Kbytes/s) ftp> The README file is Jyrki's as he posted with his announcement. The LIST file is the output of "zcat file.t.Z | tar tvf -" so that you can see the exact contents of each archive. If you are wondering whether or not the bits are worth it, take a look. While I have not had a chance to download the bits to my PC532 yet, the contents of LIST made me drool. Note that this does not include the "licensed" pieces (the kernel, library and such). To be totally above board, you must contact Jyrki for that. Beaucoup de kudos to Jyrki. Regards, Robbin.
