[comp.sys.nsc.32k] bootstrapping Minix?

Hi,

I haven't got Bruce's release yet but decided to go ahead with my
own copy of 1.5 (just to see how far I'd get) and Jyrki's patches.

While I did manage to get a kernel to boot, I was still somewhat
mystified as to how to put the root file system image together
(naturally, Minix crashed the minute it tried to read the root fs).

How did you folks go about taking a stock Minix 1.5 distribution
and generating a complete kernel/{root,usr}fs for the pc532?

I didn't notice anything like SASH lying around in the stock 1.5
PC distribution.
