[comp.sys.nsc.32k] it's alive!

Yes, another pc532 has flung itself into the realm of the living, bringing
to 2 the number of working boards at Convex. (Hi Jon :-).

This one was wave soldered, only a few errors to correct there, etc.

I had 2 problems to resolve after that: I didn't have the 532 in
hard enough (palm pressure fixed that problem), and the straight-through
cable I was using to the terminal didn't do it for me. When I replaced
the terminal with a mac running White Knight, I got a monitor prompt.

So, dragon.castle.org is born! (Now if I can just get an OS for it :-)

That is the traditional Subject line isn't it? Anway, about 22:30 PST last it
was another case of: "put in the parts and turn it on"! I still don't know if
the SCSI stuff works, but the LED's glow and the ROM monitor runs fine.
I don't have all the harware I need yet (no SCSI disk) but it won't be
long. Now where did I stash that PI program...

Many thanks to Dave and George for a design so clean even I (who did
my last soldering 20 years ago with a 200 watt gun) could make it work,
and to Steve for putting together a parts kit so complete I could just
"plug'n play". I hope to be able to return the pleasure this project
has given me with some useful software soon.
