[comp.sys.ti] CHEAP HARD DISK

ed298-ak@violet.berkeley.edu (Edouard Lagache) (09/19/87)

I regret to say that really cheap hard disks are very hard to
come by. Last year there were still people closing out TIPC
surplus stuff, but those sources seem to have dryed up. Checking
ads in the User Group newsletters and the SenTInel are really the
	only safe options.

For those with Western Automation Seeker-1 boards, it is possible
to use the Xebec 1410A board to interface a PC hard disk. Those
boards have been available in surplus but are also disappearing, and
there are no quarantees. For those who are interested there was
an article on this route in the Santa Clara Valley TIPC group
newsletter a while back or so.
