Does anyone know where I can get an RF modulator for a TI99/4A? Mine is trash and I seem to remember an ad somewhere for them at about $5. Thanks a bunch. Thomas Dressel ucontom@unix.cis.pittsburgh.edu

Last I remember, you could pick up spare ones at Radio Shack. I know they use to carry TI RF's, but if they don't anymore, zap me some mail, there are a few other places to try. -- ====================================== End Of Message UUCP: (cbosgd, hplabs!hp-sdd, sdcsvax, nosc, inhp4)!crash!guhsd000 UUCP(pnet): (cbosgd, hplabs!hp-sdd, sdcsvax, nosc, inhp4)!crash!pnet01!guhsd000 ARPA: crash!guhsd000@nosc.mil INET: guhsd000@crash.CTS.COM CIS: 73717,226 TELEX: Temp. Mine is >trash and I seem to remember an ad somewhere for them at about $5. Tenex (800-348-2778) is advertising them for $19.95 in this month's MicroPendium. Seems a bit steep. I'm sure Tex-Comp (818-366-6631) also carries them, but they don't appear in any of Tex-Comp's current ads. (Note: If you call Tex-Comp's "24-hour order line", you'll probably have to leave a message and hope they return your call.) There are a number of smaller dealers as well, but none seem to list RF modulators in their current ads. Also, if there's a users' group near you, somebody there may be able to refer you to a good source. -- Dave Stuit dave@muddcs.claremont.edu OR uunet!muddcs!dave Harvey Mudd College USnail: Platt Campus Ctr, HMC, Claremont, CA 91711

Thanks for those that replied about the RF Modulator. I saw two posts
and received two e-mail messages. Yep, you were all right. I went to
Radio Shack and found one for $4.95. I should've realized that would be
the place to look because that's the place where I got a new keyboard
for my TI. Anyway, I hooked up the new modulator, adjusted the TV a bit
and now it works fine.
Thanks again for all your help.
As a side note, are there any Tunnels of Doom fans out there? This is
my favorite game for the TI99/4A. Needless to say, I was pleased when I
saw new games for the TOD cartridge in a Triton catalog. Should be
ordering them soon. Has anyone played these games? They are called
Doom Games I and Doom Games II. The catalog doesn't describe the new
games at all, not wanting to give anything away.
