[comp.sys.ti] vt100 emulator in Turbo C for the TI Pro

pkern@csri.toronto.edu (pkern) (01/02/89)

Complete Turbo C (1.0) source code for a vt100/vt102 emulator on the
TI Professional is available via e-mail to anyone who would like a copy.
The emulator (cterm) has been tested using Per Lindberg's vttest program
at speeds up to 9600 baud. I now use it daily as my regular terminal.
Ancient versions of xmodem and kermit were incorporated into cterm for
simple ascii file transfers ("ancient" means the source code for either
protocol was small enough at the time to be contained in a single file)
(local conditions force me to use uuencode->xmodem/kermit->uudecode
for binary transfers (not used much, this is a TI Pro, remember? :-)).
Also included is a simple graphics "interface" which seems to work ok
with gnuplot (after adding a few simple routines to gnuplot).
Cterm's graphics commands are basic ansi-style escape sequences
(a lack of motivation and the absence of an accurate reference
kept me from trying to include Tektronix emulation).

Hope somebody'll find this useful.
Happy new year.
